Custom Packing & Safe Delivery of Two 6L Wine Bottles to Japan – A Showcase of MBE’s

Recently, we were entrusted with shipping two oversized wine bottles – each 6 litres – from our local center to a customer in Japan. These large-format bottles presented unique challenges, but our team responded with a tailored packing solution and end-to-end care. Here’s how we did it – and how we can do the same for your valuable or fragile items. A Tailored Approach to Every Shipment Standard packaging is not designed for 6L wine bottles. To ensure safe transit, we built a custom protection plan step by step:
1. Individual cushioning – Each bottle was wrapped in multiple layers of high-grade bubble wrap, with extra reinforcement around the neck and base to absorb shocks.
2. Zero movement inside the box – The wrapped bottles were placed in custom-fitted boxes with foam peanuts and padded inserts, eliminating any risk of shifting.
3. Double-box reinforcement – Each inner box was placed inside a larger, heavy-duty outer carton, with additional cushioning in between for structural strength and impact resistance.
4. Clear handling instructions – Every box was marked with “FRAGILE” and “THIS SIDE UP” labels, plus shrink-wrap for visibility and security.
